Geothermal Heating and Cooling

Geothermal heating is derived from the constant temperature of the earth delivered via traditional air delivery equipment, to result in a highly efficient heating and cooling system, indistinguishable from conventional methods except for reduced operating costs, and elimination of exterior air conditioning equipment.

The US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has stated that Geothermal systems deliver operating savings of 30—70% of heating costs and 20—50% of cooling costs as compared to traditional fossil fuel (oil or natural gas) systems.

Geo exchange systems also save money because they require less maintenance. In addition to being highly reliable they are built to last for decades and can add to the resale value of a home.

It is predicted that geothermal heating will continue to become a more popular option for homes and businesses seeking long term cost and energy savings.

Icynene Foam Insulation

Icynene is foam insulation sprayed into walls, floors and ceilings by Icynene Licensed Dealers. Sprayed on as a liquid, it expands in seconds to create a superior insulation and air barrier.

Why use Icynene?
— Healthier home for your family
— Quieter home shielded from outside noise
— More energy efficient home for a lifetime of savings

Creating an air barrier with Icynene insulation is the smart solution for those concerned about energy efficiency. Icynene is so effective at delivering energy performance that you can often downsize your heating and cooling equipment requirements.

Icynene foam is inert. It does not shrink or sag, settle, slip, turn to dust or decline in R-value over time. It offers no food value to bacteria, fungus, termites, carpenter ants or rodents.

By sealing the building envelope, the penetration of dust, allergens, pollutants and outside noise is significantly reduced.

Heat Recovery Ventilation System

The dual whole house heat recovery ventilation systems installed in the house deliver a consistent change of fresh air throughout the home without sacrificing a loss of heating or cooling.

The indoor air pollution so prevalent in a modern home caused by chemicals used in materials such as carpeting, furniture finishes and household cleaners is expelled constantly throughout the day, maintaining an interior atmosphere of clean, fresh air.

The ALDES compact heat recovery ventilators (HRV) installed in the home are technically advanced controlled mechanical ventilation systems designed to meet the
requirements of modern tightly built and highly insulated homes. An HRV provides a constant supply of fresh air while lowering heating costs in winter by transferring heat from the exhaust air to the fresh air stream. During the summer the temperature of warm outside fresh air is lowered as it enters the HRV.

The heat recovery ventilation is in addition to the standard kitchen and bath exhaust fans.
